On Saturday I set off to King’s Lynn to play at the fabulous Celebrate KL festival.
When I arrived everything was set up. Outdoor games, go carts, a stage on the back of a lorry, numerous stalls with gazebos and a big tea tent.
This would have been the setting for an amazing morning, except for the fact that it was raining heavily. It was bucketing it down!
I had the famiyl with me and the girls were undeterred – still insisting on playing the mini-golf despite the swathes of puddles and still went on the soft play area. Having waterproof trousers on did help. They also had fun doing several craft activities in the various gazebos, and got faces painted.
The music stage was not coping so well with the weather unfortunately. Despite all the set backs, the team did extremely well. The stage on the back of the lorry became too wet to be safe, so an alternative acoustic stage was created in the back of the tea tent.
So I was still able to play and to bless the community of King’s Lynn. Thanks for having me.
Next year I will be praying to ask for sunnier weather.
